Ep #38 - Trade Deadline is Tomorrow!

Dobber is back with another fantasy tip for all you hockey freaks.

With the trade deadline only another 24 hours away it's a good time to think about picking up guys who might be dealt to a new team.
Often players who are dealt put up good numbers as sometimes a new team and new playing environment gives those guys a new life and new energy.

Keep your ears open for all the big deals happening in the NHL and try to make a couple with your own team as well.

Hello Dobber,

I am in the cbc fantasy hockey pool. We can change every week our players in order to gain points. The goalie is the most important player of the pool, giving you more or less 10 points for a win.

I had Hasek before he got injured and had Fleury for the past 2 weeks... Not good ! He is playing enough he hasn't win lately.
Who would you recommend for next week ?
Brodeur ? Hasek ? A rising star ?

We have fictonal a salary cap, so Brodeur is expensive, but if it means a victory..

Thank you !

Valérie

Thanks Valerie for your question. Sorry for getting back to you so late.

Let's be honest, Brodeur is the man. He could be MVP this season and will go down as one of the greatest players in NHL history. Without question you should stick with Brodeur for as long as you can!

Cheers,

Fantasy Guy
